PGA Tour: Young wins Players Championship after Aberg stumbles Â

Cameron Young benefitted from a back-nine collapse by Ludvig Aberg and birdied the treacherous par-3 17th at TPC Sawgrass to secure the Players Championship by a shot.
Aberg had been in complete control of the event, leading by three heading in to the last round. His lead was two with nine to play but found the water on both the 11th and 12th holes. The resultant bogey and double-bogey saw the Swede’s challenge unravel and a final 4-under 76 meant he finished in a share of 5th-place.
By contrast, Young was bogey-free on his final nine and picked up birdies at the 10th and 13th. Despite the pressure of contending and the potential treachery of the penultimate hole, Young knuckled down and hit his tee-shot to 10-feet before rolling in the birdie.
A par at the last confirmed a 4-under 68 and ensured he pipped Matt Fitzpatrick (68) by a single shot.
LIV Golf Tour: DeChambeau wins in Singapore after playoff

Bryson DeChambeau won LIV Singapore in a playoff after Richard Lee missed an agonising 2-foot putt on the first extra hole.
The pair had finished regulation tied on 14-under par after both carded final rounds of 5-under 66.
DeChambeau nearly blew his opportunity after his tee-shot found the water on the first extra hole. He managed to save par, however. Lee had a seemingly straightforward 2-footer for par to extend proceedings but his ball caught a piece of the hole and ricocheted to the right, thus confirming DeChambeau’s victory.
Sunshine Tour: Van Tonder surges to Serengeti Playoffs win Â

A blistering birdie-eagle-birdie finish by Daniel Van Tonder saw the serial Sunshine Tour winner claim the Serengeti Playoffs title by two shots from Wilco Nienaber and Allen John.
Germany’s John had been the man to catch since a 2nd round 9-under 63 earned him a two shot lead. The lead held through Sunday before Van Tonder’s fireworks.
John played well in the final round, shooting a 68. Ironically, his bid for a first Tour title was thwarted by Van Tonder’s second 63 of the week.
Sunshine Ladies Tour: Lau wins Jabra Classic Â

A birdie at the first hole of sudden-death helped Lois Lau to a maiden Sunshine Ladies Tour title at the Jabra Classic.
Lau and Lorna McClymont shot final rounds of 3-under 69, ending regulation tied with last week’s winner Danielle Du Toit.
McClymont could’ve won the event in regulation had she parred the par-4 18th.
A bogey opened the door, however and Lau stepped over the threshold and into the winner’s circle.
