PGA Tour: Schenk wins Bermuda Championship

Adam Schenk ground out a level-par 71 to produce a one-shot victory over Chandler Philips in the Bermuda Championship.

Schenk shot a superb 4-under 67 during a windy third round to share the lead with Braden Thornberry. 

Schenk’s final round was far quieter – a bogey and a birdie complementing 16 pars – but was still enough to help him to a maiden Tour title.

Chandler Philips, needing a good finish to move inside the top-100 on the FedEXCup Fall standings, finished 2nd after a 71 to jump from 139th to 92nd on the rankings.

Thornberry crashed to a round of 80, finishing T-22.

LPGA Tour: Grant clinches The Annika title

Sweden’s Linn Grant earned a three-shot victory at The Annika after a closing round of 5-under 65.

Eventual runner-up Jennifer Kupcho’s opening hole birdie saw her draw level with Grant. Grant played steadily though, picking up four front-nine birdies before another two on the back-nine.

Kupcho picked up five birdies of her own on the day but two dropped shots along the way meant she signed for a 67 which was not enough to put any real pressure on Grant.

Grant may have dropped a shot at her final hole but still ran out a comfortable victor. 

DP World Tour: Fitzpatrick wins Tour Championship, McIlroy Race To Dubai title

Matt Fitzpatrick parred the first hole of sudden-death to defeat Rory McIlroy and win the DP World Tour Championship.

Fitzpatrick birdied three of his first five holes before red numbers at three of his last five holes to card a 6-under 66 and post the clubhouse lead at 18-under par.

Tied for the lead overnight, McIlroy needed an eagle-3 at the last to force a playoff, duly delivering in clutch fashion.

Unfortunately his playoff challenge was undermined by a tee-shot which found the water at the 18th.

A bogey-6 followed but the Northern Irishman earned a consolation prize in the form of the season-long Race To Dubai title, the seventh of his career.

Sunshine Tour: Ritchie wins Players Championship marathonย ย

JC Ritchie earned a two-shot victory in the Stella Artois Players Championship after closing with a 2-under 69 on a marathon final day.

With bad weather expected during Sunday’s final round, it was decided that the final 36 holes would be contested on Saturday.

HotelPlanner Tour no.1 Ritchie vaulted into a share of the lead with Bryce Easton through 54 holes via a 6-under 65. Easton meanwhile shot a 63, the pair tied for the lead on 15-under par.

Easton’s challenge was thwarted by a 1-over 72 in the final round to finish in a share of 4th.

Ritchie meanwhile mixed four birdies with two bogeys, doing enough in the end to eclipse Christiaan Burke and Oliver Bekker who shot 67 and 70 respectively in the final round.

PGA Tour Champions: Cink doubles up at Charles Schwab Cup Championship

Stewart Cink capped off a superb PGA Tour Champions season with a two-shot win in the Charles Schwab Cup Championship which secured the season-long title too.

Cink was flawless in the final round, collecting two birdies on each nine and not dropping a single-shot in a 4-under 67.

New Zealand’s Steven Alker had a chance to tie Cink’s tournament total of 20-under par had he birdied the last but he wound up with a bogey-6 to finish second in both the event and the season-long Charles Schwab Cup race.
