PGA Tour: Scheffler romps to AMEX title

A final round masterclass by world no. 1 Scottie Scheffler saw him cruise to a four shot win at The American Express thanks to a closing round of 6-under 66.

He began the day tied for 2nd with teenage phenom Blades Brown, a shot behind Si Woo Kim. Kim’s challenge was thwarted by a front-nine which featured a double-bogey, a drop and just one birdie. He picked up two birdies on the back-nine but could do no better than a share of 6th-place.

Scheffler was nothing short of imperious. Despite following an opening-hole birdie with a bogey at the next, he collected four additional birdies before the turn. He collected four more on the inward-half which meant that by the time he made a 17th-hole double-bogey, there was no doubting the eventual outcome.

DP World Tour: Reed wins Desert Classic by 4

Patrick Reed may have shot an even-par 72 in the final round, but it was more than good enough to yield a four-shot win at the Dubai Desert Classic.

The former Masters champion laid the foundation for victory with rounds of 3-under 69, 66 and 67 which helped him build a 4-shot lead.

His final round consisted of two birdies and two bogeys. Despite treading water, none of the chasing pack was able to sustain any pressure on the American with Andy Sullivan (71) the man who came the closest.

Sunshine Tour: Follet-Smith nabs Cell C Championship title

Ben Follett-Smith may have dropped shots at each of his final two holes, but the resultant 4-under 66 still afforded him a narrow one-shot win over Haydn Porteous at the Cell C Challenge.

Porteous led after each of the first three rounds, by two after round one and three after rounds two and three.

The form which saw Porteous produce consecutive 6-under 64s and a 68, deserted him in the final round. Two birdies was all he could manage on Sunday with two bogeys stalling his challenge.

Follet-Smith meanwhile flew out of the blocks with a 5-under 30 on the front-nine courtesy of an eagle-3 and three birdies.

Two further birdies on the inward-half were enough to ensure that despite dropping three shots, Follett-Smith did enough to win the title in regulation.

Korn Ferry Tour: Holt earns maiden title

Ian Holt withstood a challenging final round to convert his first-ever 54-hole lead into a maiden Korn Ferry Tour win by a shot after a closing 1-under 71.

The American led by two strokes over Barend Botha and Will Gordon on 11-under par. Five final round bogeys – two on the front-nine and three on the back-nine – ensured it wasn’t all plain sailing.

Holt combatted those setbacks with four front-nine birdies and a further two on the back. Of all the red numbers he made, a birdie at the par-5 18th was the most critical to lifting him out of a potential playoff with Alistair Docherty (66) and Justin Hastings who closed with a 69.

PGA Tour Champions: Cink opens season with victory

Stewart Cink made a fast start to the 2026 PGA Tour Champions season with a 3-stroke win in the Mitsubishi Electric Championship.

Cink was in sublime form in the final round as he notched four front-nine birdies. A further four on the back including three in a row from the 14th. His 8-under 64, a day removed from a 63, ensured he held off the challenge of Angel Cabrera who closed with a 66.
