LPGA Tour: Yamashita wins Maybank Championship in Playoff

Miyu Yamashita birdied the first extra-hole of the Maybank Championship to defeat Hye-Jin Choi and Hannah Green.
Yamashita began the final round a distant eight strokes adrift of Choi but surged up the leaderboard with a bogey-free 7-under 65. Green meanwhile carded a 68. Despite carding a 73, Choi finished the event on 18-under par, level with Yamashita and Green.
Yamashita made short shrift of the playoff, her birdie-4 sealing a second LPGA Tour title in her rookie season.
HotelPlanner Tour: Morrison wins his way to DP World Tour card

James Morrison earned a three-shot win at the HotelPlanner Tour Grand Final, a result which vaulted him from 36th on the Road To Mallorca and back onto the DP World Tour.
The top-20 players on the rankings at tournament’s end would secure their cards for next season. Against that backdrop, the Englishman improved with every round, following a 71 up with a 67 and a 65.
The nett-effect was a commanding three-stroke lead with a round to play.
The final day’s play saw Morrison offset three drops with five birdies. He may have dropped a shot at the 72nd hole but the Englishman did more than enough to secure the win.
Stefano Mazzoli finished 2nd on 12-under par after a closing 69.
