Kuilsrivier Open: Walters wins by a shot
|

Western Province IPT player Henru Walters made a winning start to 2026 as he produced a one-stroke win at the Kuilsrivier Open.
|
Despite a morning round of 3-under 69, Walters found himself a shot behind Steenberg's Nicholas Schrieder who overcame two bogeys by carding an eagle and four birdies.
|
Schrieder stumbled in the afternoon, however as he carded just two birdies along with four bogeys and a double-bogey which relegated him to solo-4th.
|
Walters too had a mixed bag in the afternoon as he accumulated six birdies but stuttered with two double-bogeys and two bogeys.
|
|
Nevertheless, his 3-under 36-hole total was enough to see off the challenge of Foursomes partner Andries Van Der Vyver (70-72) and Taahir Mallick (71-71).

PGA Tour: Gotterup wins Sony Open
|

|
Chris Gotterup emerged a two-shot victor at the Sony Open after a closing 6-under 64.
|
He began the round two adrift of Davis Riley but the pair enjoyed contrasting fortunes in the final round. After playing his first five holes in 2-under par, Riley proceeded to go bogey-bogey-double-bogey from the 6th to turn in 2-over 37.
|
Gotterup played assured golf throughout, mixing four front-9 birdies with just one drop before adding a further three birdies on the back-9. His final red number at the par-3 17th confirmed Gotterup's winning start to the season over Ryan Gerard who shot a Sunday 65.

Riley finished in a share of 6th after a 71.

DP World Tour: Elvira wins by one in Dubai

Nacho Elvira birdied his penultimate hole and benefitted from a last-hole hiccup by Shane Lowry to earn a one-stroke win at the Dubai Invitational.
|
Elvira held a two-shot 54-hole lead after a 2-under 69 but with Lowry and Rory McIlroy among a group in pursuit, the event was far from a foregone conclusion.
|
|
Daniel Hillier shot a 65 to set the clubhouse target at 9-under par. After turning in 1-under, Elvira's only red number of the back-nine came at the 17th but when Lowry, playing in the group ahead, made double-bogey at the par-4 18th, a par at 18 saw Elvira across the line.

Korn Ferry Tour: Dickson wins season-opener

Taylor Dickson won the third Korn Ferry Tour title of his career, claiming the Bahamas Classic by three after closing with a 7-under 65.
|
The American climbed into a share of the 36-hole lead via a 10-under 62 before a third round 67 saw him share the lead with Mason Andersen on 22-under par.
|
|
Andersen carded a relatively pedestrian 1-under 71 in the final round. Dickson on the other hand flew out of the blocks with a front-9 of 5-under 31 before birdies at 15 and 16 saw him cap off a fantastic display with a comfortable win over Roger Sloan who also closed with 67.
