PGA Tour: Fisk out-duels Higgo at Sanderson Farms Championship

Steven Fisk birdied four of his final five holes to out-duel Garrick Higgo, winning the Sanderson Farms Championship by two after a closing 8-under 64.
|
Higgo began the day two shots to the good but after turning in 2-under par, his momentum was halted by bogeys at the 10th and 11th. Fisk meanwhile played his opening 11 holes in 4-under par.
|
After Higgo birdied 13, both birdied 14. Higgo's birdie at 15 and a 16th hole which saw the pair trade birdies meant there was nothing in it with two holes to play.

Unfortunately from a South African perspective, Higgo parred his final two holes while Fisk found two more birdies, earning his maiden title in impressive fashion.

LPGA Tour: Hwang soars to maiden title

Youmin Hwang reeled off birdies at each of her final four holes to pip Hyo Joo Kim to the Lotte Championship title.
|
It represented Hwang's first LPGA title, best described as a rollercoaster of sorts. A second round 10-under 62 preceded a 75 but she fought back brilliantly in the final round.

Hwang's penultimate-hole birdie, her fifth of the day, saw her tie the lead with Kim and Hinami Katsu before a birdie-4 at the 72nd hole helped her across the line and into the winner's circle.

DP World Tour: MacIntyre wins weather-affected Dunhill Links Championship

Robert MacIntyre shot a 6-under 66 at St Andrews' Old Course to win the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship by four shots from Tyrrell Hatton.
|
Adverse weather conditions saw the event reduced to 54 holes. MacIntyre and Richard Sterne shared the 36-hole lead on 12-under par, MacIntyre opening with rounds of 6-under 66 at both Carnoustie and Kingsbarns. Sterne meanwhile followed a 65 at Kingsbarns with a 67 at St Andrews.

MacIntyre was in a class of his own in the final round: Four front-nine birdies preceded three on the inward-half. Not even a a bogey at the famous Road Hole, the 17th, could take the gloss off what was an impressive final round, and tournament performance.

Sterne closed with a 1-under 71 to share third-place with John Parry while a 65 around The Old Course vaulted Hatton into sole-possession of 2nd-place.

Korn Ferry Tour: de Chassart cruises to Compliance Solutions victory

Adrien de Chassart played his way back onto the PGA Tour with a dominant seven-stroke victory at the Compliance Solutions Championship.
|
De Chassart began the event in eye-popping fashion as he fired consecutive rounds of 10-under 61. A 7-under 64 followed in round 3 before the Belgian rounded off a dominant performance with a 6-under 65 rounded off by birdies at three of his final four holes.

Zecheng Dou occupied a distant 2nd-place on 26-under par which was punctuated by a 7-under 64.

PGA Tour Champions: Gainey lands maiden title

Tommy Gainey broke through for his maiden PGA Tour Champions victory by signing for a 6-under 66 and a 2-shot win in the Furyk & Friends event.
|
He began the final round four behind overnight leader Matt Gogel who enjoyed a 3-shot 36-hole lead. Gogel endured an up-and-down final round though, carding five bogeys and three birdies for a round of 75 which left him in tied 3rd-place.
|
|
Gainey was far steadier: Two front-nine birdies and three more on the back-nine complemented an eagle-3 at 13. Gainey's only drop of the day came at the 14th before the 50-year-old capped a great come-from-behind victory with a birdie-3 at the final hole, ensuring he eclipsed Cameron Percy who shot a 3-under 69.
